Safety covers, How They Work.
How They Work
There is nothing worse than walking out to your pool, ready for a day of fun, only to find mice, insects, and other small animals floating in the pool. While these creatures may not be our favorite, we don’t usually desire to bring them to an untimely demise – especially in our swimming pools. Not only do we want to protect the animals we love, but those we don’t love so much.
Solid safety covers do not have any holes or gaps. They completely cover the water, blocking debris and little critters from getting in the water. They block the UV rays from hitting the water, which does not allow the sun to heat the water, but also prevents algae and other bacteria from growing in the pool.
Mesh safety covers, as the name implies, are not solid all the way across. They are made of strong material with spaces resembling a net that are too small for a child or animal to slip into. They are just as safe as the solid ones at a cheaper price. The drawback is that they will not keep debris or rain out of the pool. They keep the pool open to both rainwater and the sun’s rays.
